Featured Lipstick of the Week

We now interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you this very important Featured Lipstick of the week
Hey guys! So today I'm switching things up a bit, and instead of my Featured Nail Polish of the Week, I'm going to show you one of my favorite shades of lipstick (like I said, I'm running out of nail colours to show you!)
Have you guys ever tried purple lipstick? No?
Do you want to? Yeah you do...! More specifically you want to try Berry Haute by Revlon
Revlon is probably my favorite lipstick company... they are super affordable, their lip shades stay on fairly well, they go on nicely, and they have SO MANY COLOURS
I especially love Berry Haute because the colour seems to change every time I use it... you can put on just a smudge, and it will give you this super pretty subtle pink, or you can layer it on, to get this super interesting, purple colour, perfect for going out at night
It's pretty, and out-there enough that you look unique, but not crazy... go out and try it!

Alrighty! I literally just finished my final assignment for the year, so all I have left is my exams and I am free as a bird!!

Have a great day guys,

DIY Citrus Sugar Scrub

Spring is here, and summer is just around the corner!
That means long days lounging in the sun, warm nights, and, of course, short season is back!
And you know what that means, ladies... we gotta start shaving again.. booo
But not to worry, I'm here to help... introducing my lovely Citrus Sugar Scrub
It's made of household ingredients, and I SWEAR it works like magic
It will leave you feeling silky smooth, and I'm sure your significant others will thank me
Combine all of your ingredients in a jar with a screw on lid
First measure out the sugar, any sugar you have is fine! You could use salt, but sugar is way more gentle, and salt stings like a mothertrucker when it gets in cuts
After the sugar, add in your oil
I recommend using olive oil for the bulk of it, just because olive oil is cheaper than other oils
And then adding in as much coconut oil (or any other nice oil like jojoba, almond, etc) as you are willing to spare
Throw in some freshly squeezed citrus juice... I've used lemon and grapefruit, both worked great
And if you'd like, splash in a few drops of your favorite essential oil
Now go take a shower!
After about 5 minutes of steaming in the shower, rub the scrub into your skin in circular motions
Leave it on, and use your razor to shave it off... you don't even need shaving cream
Once I'm done shaving, I like to put it on one more time, just to let the oil really have a chance to sink into my skin... and there you go!
Go try it yourselves, you can thank me later ;)
Hope all of you have a great hump day... 3 more days till I'm done my first year of University! And 5 more days till my birthday!! Woo (but who's counting, right?)

Tuesday, 2 April 2013

Hello you lucky people!
"Why are we so lucky?" you may ask... so I'll let you know
Today I am featuring TWO songs on my little blog for Tuesday's Tunes
I wanted to show you guys a couple of super talented musicians that use some pretty unique techniques to make their beats

Our first artist is Pogo, an electronic music musician from Australia
Pogo takes little sounds from different parts of movies and shows, and strings them together and makes a song out of it... trippy right?! The one bellow is from Alice in Wonderland, but he's also done toy story, Dexter, and many more.... check it out!

Our next artist calls himself Dub FX and is also from Australia (apparently Aussies are very talented!).
Dub FX uses an effects peddle to loop his voice beat boxing, and then raps over this
He does a better job of explaining it than me, so take it away Dub FX!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed these tunes, I know I do
Have an excellent Tuesday
